Giving back to our communities

Wild Hearts Idaho

Atkins Law Offices is thrilled to be a sponsor for the 2024 EmpowerHearts Gala, a fundraiser to support the Wild Hearts Idaho program.

Wild Hearts Idaho is a  non-profit that teaches leadership skills to middle and high-school girls through outdoor adventures. Since their first hike in 2016, Wild Hearts has taken girls between the ages of 12 and 18 on a wide variety of adventures including rock climbing, fly fishing, white water rafting, and backpacking. They believe Idaho’s rich outdoor resources are the ideal place for girls to access outdoor adventure, connect with others and their inner self, gain support in their personal growth, and emerge as courageous and confident female leaders.

Last year alone, they took 104 girls on 18 outdoor adventures, ranging from day hikes to local hot springs, to multi-night river trips. 45% of the girls had never experienced outdoor adventure before Wild Hearts, and every single participant had the opportunity to create a supportive community, learn important wilderness skills, and develop new skills for their own growth as leaders.

The Trust & Estate Professionals of Idaho (TEPI)

Founded in 2004 by Robert L. Aldridge, the Trust & Estate Professionals of Idaho (“TEPI”), is an Idaho non-profit organization that proposes, introduces, and supports legislation to improve Idaho law in a number of areas.

One important goal of TEPI's activities is to improve the laws of Idaho for the good of the general public, and especially in protecting the elderly and those in need of help or protection, and in improving and/or evolving the Idaho Statutes with regards to probate and estate planning.

The Attorneys at Atkins Law are members and are involved, through TEPI, in the State of Idaho's legislative process and in rules making by state agencies by revising, writing, and promoting the language in statutes and introducing new bills with the assistance and endorsement of the TEPI membership.
