Atkins Law Offices provides flat-fee legal services through its online storefront. These services constitute professional legal work and are not physical goods. Accordingly, they are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or traditional commercial return processes.

Flat Fees Are Earned Upon Receipt

When a client purchases a flat-fee legal service through our website, the fee covers only the preparation of the specific documents or services identified in the online order. Upon execution of the engagement letter, the flat fee is deemed paid in full and earned by the firm. As stated in the engagement letter, this fee is not an advance payment and does not require deposit into a trust account.
Because the fee becomes an earned legal fee once the engagement letter is signed, it is non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly provided for in the engagement agreement.

Cancellations Prior to Execution of an Engagement Letter

If a prospective client purchases a flat-fee service but does not sign the engagement letter, no attorney-client relationship is formed. In such circumstances, the firm may cancel the matter. Any refund, if applicable, will depend on whether any legal services were initiated before cancellation and is determined at the firm’s sole discretion.
